Men of Depth 3.0

An embodied practice group for men that lean into life.

WHY ARE YOU HERE?

Not here on this webpage. Why are you on this Earth? Why are you alive? Better yet, what would you be willing to give your life for?

It’s a confusing time to be alive. It’s a confusing time to be a man. Many of us feel isolated, stressed, overwhelmed and undervalued. Many of us are being asked to both “step up” and “shut up” simultaneously. How can we lead our lives from a place of care, depth, authenticity, and purpose?

MoD 3.0 will invite you deeper into relationship with these questions, with the support and accountability of men willing to lead their lives.

MoD 3.0 is a meticulously crafted and intentionally held, in-person training group for men based in the Roaring Fork Valley.

This group integrates periodized strength training with more traditional elements of men’s work to support the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth of participants.

“Men need core depth reflected back to them from the eyes of other men. It changes, restores and inspires each of us to elevate ourselves and our communities.”

-John Wineland, From the Core

The world asks a lot of us. In order to lean in and show up fully to our lives, we must increase our capacity. This third iteration of MoD is an intelligently crafted practice container designed to expand our functional range as men (physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually).

Intelligently designed and professionally guided strength training supports the physical aspect of this work, and provides an embodied analogy for the training of our mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects, which we will engage through varied exercises and deep conversation.

FAQs

Why is it called Men of Depth 3.0?

This is the third iteration of MoD. The previous two series ran in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

What if I can’t make all sessions?

A few absences is ok, but we want men willing and able to prioritize this group. We ask that you only commit to this group if you can make a minimum of 8/12 sessions.

Do you offer scholarship pricing?

We will be offering a scholarship to two participants on an application-basis. Email us to inquire about this option.

How will each session be structured?

The first hour is for strength training. The second hour will look like a more traditional men’s group (council sharing, prompted discussion, solo and group exercises).

Tell me more about the strength training.

Our 12 sessions will take us through a periodized strength training plan designed to improve strength, mobility, coordination, injury prevention, and ultimately, allow for more time outside doing the things you love. Davis (a coach at Ripple Effect) will have a workout written for when you arrive, and will be present to teach and modify exercises based on your performance goals and body mechanics.

How do I know if this is a good fit for me?

Ultimately, that’s your call. If you’re on the fence and want to know more, reach out to us to set up a time to talk, and join us for the Open House at Ripple Effect on Wed, Nov. 15th (6-7:30pm).
